This policy covers Canvix.io, the account dashboard, editor, AI tools, uploads, generated files, image URL imports, referral tracking, and related browser-based tools.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Canvix.io ("Canvix", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, account area, editor, AI tools, web tools, billing features, uploads, saved projects, and support channels.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Canvix, we may collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, login credentials, profile information, avatar, account settings, and authentication information such as Google sign-in details where used.
  • Billing information: plan, subscription status, purchases, credit balances, transaction IDs, invoices/receipts, refund status, and payment metadata. Full card details are handled by payment processors such as Stripe and are not intentionally stored on Canvix servers.
  • Usage and device information: pages visited, tools used, actions taken in the editor, credit usage, feature interactions, browser type, device type, IP address, approximate location from technical data, log data, security events, and performance data.
  • User content: uploaded images, imported image URLs, screenshots, templates, saved designs, generated images, generated videos, generated audio, masks, prompts, negative prompts, reference images, and output files.
  • Support/contact information: messages, files, email address, issue category, bug reports, refund requests, and correspondence.
  • Referral and marketing information: referral codes, referral cookie values, source/medium information, campaign parameters, and email preferences.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and manage accounts, authentication, saved projects, uploads, and user settings;
  • provide the image editor, templates, exports, AI tools, image URL import, video/audio tools, and other requested features;
  • process subscriptions, credit packs, credit usage, refunds, invoices, and billing support;
  • store and deliver uploaded/generated files through hosting, storage, and CDN services;
  • send service emails such as account, security, billing, purchase, cancellation, refund, and support messages;
  • monitor performance, debug errors, prevent abuse, enforce policies, protect security, and detect fraud;
  • improve Canvix, analyse product usage, and develop new tools;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment, security, and regulatory obligations.

4. Uploaded files, prompts, and AI content

Some Canvix features require us to process files, prompts, masks, image URLs, generated outputs, or project data. We use this content to provide the requested tool, display previews, store your work, enable downloads, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

AI tools may send prompts, uploaded files, reference media, and generated outputs to third-party AI or infrastructure providers for processing. Please avoid uploading sensitive personal information unless necessary for the feature and you understand the risks.

5. Image URL import, YouTube tools, and third-party assets

When you paste or select an image URL, use the Canvix browser extension, use canvix.me shortcut/import flows, or import a YouTube thumbnail or public asset, Canvix may fetch, proxy, rehost, process, or temporarily store the URL/media so it can be opened in the editor or used by the requested tool.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to import, edit, download, publish, or commercially use any third-party media.

6. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for login sessions, security, preferences, referral tracking, account state, analytics, advertising where enabled, and abuse prevention. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.

7. How we share information

We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate Canvix, including:

  • hosting, database, file storage, CDN, and infrastructure providers;
  • AI, image, video, audio, and tool-processing providers;
  • payment processors, fraud prevention providers, and billing systems;
  • email delivery, support, logging, monitoring, analytics, and security providers;
  • professional advisers, tax/accounting providers, and authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or if needed to protect Canvix, users, third parties, payment systems, or the public from harm, fraud, abuse, or security threats.

8. Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide Canvix, maintain records, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce policies, and protect the Service. Retention periods vary by data type:

  • account data is usually kept while your account exists;
  • saved projects, uploads, and generated content may be kept until deleted by you, removed by us under policy, or removed during routine cleanup;
  • billing, tax, refund, and transaction records may be kept longer for legal/accounting reasons;
  • logs, security records, and backups may be kept for limited periods and then deleted or overwritten.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including access controls, secure transport, monitoring, and third-party payment processing. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should use strong passwords and keep your account details safe.

10. Your rights and choices

11. International processing

Canvix and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Children

Canvix is not intended for children under 13 or under the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.

13. Third-party links and services

Canvix may link to third-party websites or integrate third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
